A Helpful List of Sexual ‘Thanksgiving InnuenDON’TS’ to Watch Out For

Trigger warning for sexual innuendos. Jenn reblogging for awesomeness. This shouldn’t just be for Thanksgiving though. People need to be more aware of the dangers of using sexual language during times when they are around people besides their sexual partner/s (if they have one/them). During holidays, people often have guests. How are they to know whether one or more of their guests isn’t asexual or whether sexual innuendos may be triggering for them. Unless you know that sexual language doesn’t hurt the people you are around, just avoid it.

Jenn, frankly, I’m worried about you. This ‘public service announcement’ is very blatantly a joke. it was written as a joke. Read the notes - everyone else who saw it knows it is a joke.
I think you are taking things extremely literally and I think you need to talk to your counsellor about it.

Jenn here. It may have been intended as a joke but it’s honestly NOT a joke. If you said these things to someone who was not sexually interested in you or who was asexual, they could take easily take offense to your statements. Also, I see a therapist and I talk to them about what I want to. Do not tell me how to handle my so-called “mental health” please.
